Isaac Albeniz - Asturia
When he was 7, Isaac Albeniz ran away from his home in Barcelona. They found him in Madrid playing guitar on the street. When he was 10 he ran away again, this time to Argentina, secretly boarding a ship. In the early 1900s border control wasn't that tight. Learning to play this piece was my crowning achievement in classical guitar. Failing to really learn it in full was my biggest mistake. (3 comments)
