i've had it as an option for over a month now..! my own fault to be beaten to the punch.

i like the story behind the picture.

Hence the rrrr... It's not for a morning sober coffee-head anyway

I think... I think given that mmmm musical arrangement, the lyrics are kinda half-arsed.

I'll miss TGFI

Their new album can't be out just soon enough

Way to not be cool, Lyles.
You fail.
Now whisper me the name of that super dope piece...

All the more reason not to do it... I won't be the one to rob you of all the grinding and striving and achieving you'd otherwise have to do, were you not to take the easy life-completing-pat-on-the-head route.

Can I get a pat on the head? My life will be so complete

I was gonna crown my week with some Keys but ah, I cannot pout at this...!

aw i wish you were here. i gotta go check the schedules really, cuz i've heard that many lines are not operating anymore. sigh. it's gonna be a busy week.

unlike mine, your attempt succeeded today ;)

vanderlyle wrote:

it's quiet around here today

glad you liked it :)

great track for a rainy kind of weather.

can i take you up on that offer? cus all i need is directions.

this feels very right today.

Well, what can I say...

As far as titles go, this one's pretty awesome.

they're just summer :) that's what they make me feel, regardless of the season

Dusted off their albums again this summer, after they stamped my last.

Why would you. Not like I hold back...
You're just more considerate about putting me into funny situation. Shame, Brooklyn, shame.

it's presently certain i'm gonna watch how much i share with you sways. :)

I meant simply to point out that we shouldn't be talking in probables, but in present certainties ;)

Modality of the verb is irrelevant here, imo.

Fine. I can.

Could?

sweet! :D

i could totally crush on you based only on your musical taste.

It's ok Master. My momma said there're going to be days like this. And Yes I rest, being brutally woken up by my allergy at 4:30 and my damn neighbours. Yay.

pat on the head, Lyles, times ten.
you've done aces.
meanwhile, i occasionally don't fave good music when I know it well enough to sing along to.
go rest :)

I only keep track of the times your upload was better liked than mine -and- better than mine, not just some appealing-to-the-masses shit. And all this I do on the fingers of my left hand :P

sways, it amazes me how you keep track of those things.

he can also tell you the number of faves on most songs.

don't look at me, i didn't start the fire :D

and I just found out last week that my tequilla tolerance is better than that I have for wine, which was weird and expensive.

Also, we just broke a TFG commenting record. I'm proud of you two!

oh so true my fair lady, and since my alcohol tolerance has dropped shamefully, i better watch it with you, getting me drunk :D

there's nothing that a few shots of tequila can't fix.

*BAM*
Now Teddy can't call the party off, she's invested.

That's more entertaining than most summer flicks :P

I'm afraid i don't dance :D at all

LOL! .. what can i say, we come in eccentric ways..

so, Lyle, isn't dancing one of your life callings?! :)

Next she'll ask you if dancing is not one of your life callings. You tell her yes.

You know who also is a Sag, Brooklyn. Momtchil Krastev. It explains everything.

but of course she's a Saggi! of course! that explains everything. :)

I mean ооо божееее. I'm in the middle, more Scorpio than a "Saggy", never really cared :D

Just one of the things that Teddy gets unreasonably excited about... in this case, people with her own Zodiac sign.

What's that supposed to mean? Sigh

We can always find you a sofa to sleep on, if it came to that.
I don't have a problem volunteering mine, she is used to it. Or teddy will offer you her bed and sleep on the floor.

September is good, maybe Veronica will be able to join!
Brooklyn, pleaaase, your being sooo blunt. I'm as blunt as they come, but you've no finesse! It's ok though, you must be terribly excited.

Here's something that'll make you flip: Lyles is a Saggy.

Oh hai. I'd really love to meet you two. I'm not from Sofia and I don't really have someone to stay at there. So meet me up at the airport Sep 14 :D ?

oh no you didn't, sways!!!!
train-hopping like this! shameless!
and on top of that mocking my approach.

admit it! you need good old Brooklyn to teach you some things.

The short of it is, Brooklyn wants to organize a TFG parteeey in Sofia - it's her new obsession - so you will do well drop by our not-so-fair city? Or we can do it at the airport, what, end of august? ;)

I have to point out that I'll be seriously envious if you wrote to Her and not Me first, so facebrook friend me or something. plamen.zhechev@gmail.com and look for the moustache. You'll kinda need to anyway, if you'll be taking a break from the tfg to be a responsible student. Also, unlike Teddy, I do all my stalking at other places, so it's mostly safe.

meet up? yes? yes.

this is my e-mail: teodora.zareva@gmail.com can you write me so i can have yours? :)

sways wrote:

First time I didn't know if you were a bloke or a bird or a lad or a lass or a mate or a totty or a chap etc. (got the UK slang pat down, yeah?), so I dude-d you.
I'd lecture you on the dangers of drinking alone, but I got half a bottle of wine in the fridge that is too good to let go to waste, so ... g'nite, lyles.

sways wrote:

Dude, come ooon...!
Me and Teddy, we are in agreement that you're a pretty cool kid.
I was going to mention it next time you got angsty, say cool kids end up a'right, a'ight?
Now, you pull off a fifth of Tom's performance and you'll just be too cool for us. Well, me. Brooklyn, she'll disagree - she's -swollen- with confidence today, which is good thing, as normally she complains of having no ass to speak of that she could shake.
But is it a performance if there's no one to hear? What's with that?

Fine? I see. It must be the yogurt.
An answer - kinda. I have all the basics covered and then, I also use music to nudge me out of one disposition and into another (e.g. blue to dancy to endorphine high to silly chemical happiness despite 'too many troubles'). I mean, you've seen my channel, I'm not exactly a one-mood-man :)

Too funny, you are. :D My digestion is fine, thank you. ok, ok there was upward movement in some of my facial muscles.
Maybe I just worry too much
I'm not quite sure how I feel about the track. It's soothing. Are you one of those people (that includes me too) who like to have music for just about every situation and mood?

I see. Constipation. Awful stuff... ;)

Shoot some of this - open to interpretation, but title-appropriate to your situation - "Decisions", "Ready For The World"
I mean, come on.. is there really any doubt everything will be fine in the end...

I'm eating my yoghurt, having my coffee in my cutesy Disney Winnie the Pooh mug (Winnie's smile is supposed to be contagious). Sigh. I'm trying. I'm a little scared. Shitless. :D

A blue you, huh?
I spent time with it yesterday, after you posted the lyrics.
Swam up from my blues. This - all hope & affirmations!
To live and laugh and laugh, it's time for us.
Cheer up, lyle. You are going on a new adventure and no things are certain - and that -is- good.

Finally chased away the last of my friends and restored order.
Solitude used to be such a valuable commodity when I was living with my family. Now, I am glad for it... though my own demons are not always agreeable.
My shutters never went up today, my five potted flowers complained. That sun's crazy.. and my neighbours peep!
Maybe African kids have a reason to envy me a little. You.. not so much.
My upload for today is a little different now - I changed it with the song I ripped straight from my Beirut DVD. It's more what I intended it to be... more Sunday.
Enjoy your day. I'll see a bed about a book and a pillow about what pillows are for :)

It's about time that we fell in love
You know that I've been trying
It's about time that we had a laugh
You know that I've been crying

Too many people, too many troubles
Too many mouths are lying

If everybody laughed for just one day
You know that'd make me happy

Too many troubles, too many troubles
Don't know how we live so long
Too many troubles, too many troubles
It's time for us to live and laugh and laugh and laugh

It's about time that I said Hello to all those lonely people
When I was at the back who could never talk back through all the tears and sadness

You never really know who's there beside you
Who will be your comfort
If everybody laughed for just one day you know that'd make you happy

Too many troubles, too many troubles
Don't know how we live so long
Too many troubles, too many troubles
It's time for us to live and laugh and laugh and laugh

Correction: I didn't like the Jarreau version, I loved it. I overslept, having the whole apartment for myself, bc my family is on vacation. I'm not leaving the house unless I really have to, keeping the shutters down at all times. I enjoy this solitude and being with me a little bit too much. Don't like to argue about coffee and tea-lovers :) They all know what they like :)
And envious feelings are mutual, only mine are of a different nature. All good, though :)

I had a sleepover party.. but haven't slept a wink.
Heat. Dogs, Phones ringing at fuck-all-time.
Gave up on tossin' and turnin' at 6:30 and since then I stretched, took a cold cold shower and am on my third black tea (and ready to argue with whoever says that stuff is stronger than coffee... !)
Jarreau is.. a little bit different. You'll see. Maybe like it.
I'm in agreement. I'll always be in agreement, since it gives me great joy that I'm mentioned like five times and Teddy - once.
I also so envy you, Lyle, meeting thefeelgood for the first time now.

I just saw a microwave about hot water for coffee, and I am not yet willing to see the fridge :) yeah, taking one "five" :)
Never heard the Jarreau version, but heard the Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancook one. I'll check it out.
And I ain't popularizing my tags! I'm selfishly keeping them for me and the kids who obviously know where to look :D

Just one, huh? Good work ethic.
On to business, heard the Al Jarreau version? Some serious feel good stuff going on there.
Yeah, my tags... they are a work in progress.. and like myself, misleading. But thanks. That work-me-back-no-bones things has serious promise, you should populate it.
I gotta go see a fridge about a fruit now.

Funny. Just watched (skipped through in 30 min) Sherlock again just a few hours ago. Is really quite entertaining. You should study it closely, get you prepped for England. I doubt much has changed. :)

It was always in-your-face kind of obvious to any would-be High Violet fan, but for what it's worth, I think the pipe dream was a very nice touch.
If the other feel-gooder who is doing her post-grad studies in the UK is any indication (that reminds me, I've to go write an email), no, you won't find the time. You'll occasionally remember about this place and us, maybe give it half an hour for nostalgia's sake, then hit the books... or etc. social activity of the night with your new UK chums. Summers are for sea and see - family and old friends, always on the move. It's a gloom future.. where the TFG is concerned. Now go out there and prove me wrong ;)
There were never any hurt feelings, just hurt puppies (that's a deliberate stretch, for the narrative's sake)... who should've known better.

Your leaving will be very unfortunate for the simple reason that you are apparently the closest thing to my own musical animal. Also, other kids are just not as psyched about Blakroc and stuff.
After your 4th? .. Then I don't want to imagine how you felt at your 8th. And 9th. The 9th was bad. Must've found out I'm harmless after. You know, if you stop posting, your account will be as good as gone? You'll never get an email notification. Or you could just ask one of the admins to be deleted. No trace... No, no, haven't met. Just know your photo with the kicks and this one, from somewhere.
I'll just assume you're one of Maria's friends, or Peter's, or studied in Greece, or took photography classes in Sofia, which would give us some mutual acquaintances, or something.
Doesn't really matter. It is getting weird, but that's just keeping within the boundary of my reputation ;)
Keep up the good work. (except, not too good, please... I mean 4 faves to 0, that's just humiliating!)

You're really doing a number on all the notable TFG users, judging from your growing list of faves.
Now, The National, I only really care for this one album, but I care strongly. Don't normally do the whole (indie) rock scene, complete with the, as you put it, sorrowful wailing drunks, but this one totally blindsided me - for one, serious musical chops. They know how to compose songs - you faved that Clogs track, yeah? Half of that is The National's fault. Second, treating the vocal purely as another instrument, Matt Berninger's tone just does things to me - like an down-to-earth but still larger-than-life Iggy Pop or something. Then there's the poetry, which is the stuff a sad drunk might write, but a sad drunk of the calibre of David Duchovny's character in Californication. Alcohol fumes mixed with some disillusioned, vintage wisdom and the occasional sharp hook.
In other news, didn't know your jazz-hat face, but this photo I do know, I do.. but it's alright - if I can't place you, then that is that - I've enough other more notable obsessions to care for. ;)

You're very welcome.

Hunting's done. Food on the table.
Her second album is by far the most interesting.
I also bought 3 tracks and pirated a couple of other LPs and it's time I go reconcile with my guilty conscious.
Thanks.

Oh whew. Is it safe to say enjoy your "hunting"?

Totally. The best of things... And yeah, I don't use enough smileys. It's a problem.

I'm assuming it's a good thing that last statement? I never know with you =D

I have this packed TFG hopefulls folder where I put songs that don't agree with my mood, but I'll want to upload another day. Masterswarm, Roslyn and A Little Bit.. and some City&Colour tracks were all there - so that was very amusing for me to watch.
First of yours I haven't heard before that I wanna go and find out more about.

as for the conspiracy.. i gotta warn V, i have serious connections in thefeelgood at the highest level, she should be careful. ;)

Well, at least you were a good sport about it :)
I'll shelf the pants conspiracy for now...
Funny thing about Teddy, that must be the first she's been called m'lady.. don't think it'll stick :)
Have a good one, V.

smooth exit V.. one day i'll get you.

Outshine you two? Oh please, I could not. As I told Sways before, I post what I like and that's pretty much it. Bye now sir and m'lady.

We have a bet? ... Isn't this the kind of information I should be given before-hand, like, for instance, before I paint myself as a fb stalker creep type? Anyway, recognizing the pants clearly paints me the winner...!

I thought it was a 'strange big fish in Our pond' kind of situation and needing to find out who, what and whether to eliminate before she outshines us both...

seriously though... can you just tell us what's your name and what's the name of your facebook friend who posted the song that got you hooked?... we're having a bet here who will manage to get that information first.. i am confident that my straightforward, shameless approach will work best :)

Haha touche. You're the mister know-it-all.

AHA! So now I just have to stalk through some 10000 pictures on fb before you manage to proverbially take your pants off and you'll no longer be a mystery.... who knows stuff...
I'll go ask for some vacation time.

Ha, creep! :D Yes, those pants were on fb, on flickr, and on me right now :D

I don't think there's been a TFG song with more than 2 comments this year without my being involved so .. I'm involving myself to keep it that way.
I've nothing constructive to add, other than I can swear I've seen your pants on fb, V...

i'm glad you got hooked.
good song.

a facebook friend, who had account here, apparently, posted something from here one day, i decided to check it out and here i am :)

pure curiosity of whether i know you.. feelgooders are usually connected somehow.

why do you wanna know?

what's your name?

Tee hee, I'd gladly hear it :)
As for the posting, I just put up stuff that I like or has impressed me, or that is related to memories (Just like anybody else around here, I assume. And isn't that what the feel good is all about?) If people like it, good, if not, I don't really care that much anyway.
And thank you. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll wake up in a different country.

If you keep on posting from my fav. albums, I'll probably cook up a conspiracy theory.
But for now, you're golden in my book.
Have a nice trip :)
